Meet The Team

Tim LeClair
Business Development
Tim LeClair has more than thirty years of experience in semiconductor device package design, process development, production ramping, and component/device reliability. Tim has supported the biotech, cellphone handset, avionics, hi-reliability military, and consumer electronics industries. Specifically, he has created a wide range of package strategies and solutions for cellphone handset components for Motorola, laser scannable modules evaluating microchips for DNA hybridization for Nanogen, and acoustic sensor MEMS packaging for gas flow metering, copier paper gauging, resonator MEMS and Front End (RF) Modules for Avago. Greater than 30 years’ experience in semiconductor device package design, process development, production ramping, and component/device reliability
Sam Bae
Project Scientist
During his 15-year career at JPL/NASA (Jet Propulsion Laboratory), Dr. Bae has expertise in building sensors and microfluidic devices. He played vital roles in the development of a MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System) gyroscope, a Spiderweb Bolometer, microfluidic devices, a nanotip-based broadband light absorber, etc. He has engaged in modeling, fabrication, and performance testing, which gave him an understanding of the full project cycle. In later years at JPL, he shifted gears to the development of a medical imaging endoscope. He not only initiated the work with novel concept ideation but also contributed to the start of a company, MARVEL (Multi-angle Rear Viewing Endoscopic Tool). In 2015, he moved to a medical device company and initiated a smart sensor project where ultrasound was used to send data from implanted devices to the outside world. He has experience managing multidisciplinary projects involving engineers and contractors to produce complex microscale devices.
